		<description>@mike: I actually came across the same error today while installing Imagemagick on a fresh install of Leopard. I've added the command above to create the proper directories for the JPEG install to go through without errors.</description>

		<description>Just wanted to say thanks. Was trying to get imagemagick to work all weekend on my MBP. Also, I got an error after the make install step for the jpg lib, but it still worked.</description>

Thanks for this.  My ImageMagick install wasn't working quite right, specifically resizing, and I followed the instructions from it's site!  Now, everything is perfect.</description>
